Our Mission
To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Detroit Lakes & the Perham Area serve over 850 children from Becker and Otter Tail Counties in Minnesota. Between both clubs, the following programs are provided: before school, after school, full-day summer care, teen nights/events, year-round preschool, and various outreach events.
Our caring, professional staff work hard to offer fun and meaningful activities that help children succeed academically, practice healthy lifestyles, and develop good character and citizenship. All the programs seek to help children develop competence, usefulness, belonging, and influence in order to enhance their self-esteem – ultimately helping them achieve their full potential as young men and women. Boys & Girls Clubs are a safe place for children to learn and grow!

The Boys & Girls Club of Detroit Lakes has been serving local kids since 1957 – longer than any other Club in the State of Minnesota. For 70 years, the Club “on the hill” has symbolized children, fun, and the future.
