History of the Event
The Big Buck Bash is the signature fundraising event supporting the Boys & Girls Club of Detroit Lakes. This event began in 2019 through the leadership of a dedicated Corporate Board Member and a dream to help make a BIG impact for the youth of the Detroit Lakes community.
Since its inception, the event has raised nearly $400,000 to support local youth and families. Every dollar raised helps provide safe spaces, caring mentors, academic support, healthy meals, and impactful opportunities for children in Detroit Lakes.
Where Do the Funds Go?
100% of net proceeds directly support Boys & Girls Club of Detroit Lakes programs and the caring, highly trained staff who mentor youth every day. Together, they help children build confidence, strengthen academic and social skills, develop leadership, and gain the tools they need to succeed for a lifetime.
