After School Program

Surrounded by caring mentors who encourage them, youth ages 5-12 years strengthen their learning, enjoy a warm supper, and build their confidence.

3:15 pm-5:45 pm

School-AgeD Program

Structured, Meaningful, & Relevant

Serves children between 5 and 12 years of age
School-aged children hop off the bus ready to spend time with friends, try new things, enhance their learning from school, and simply have fun!

Designed to build self-esteem and allow your child(ren) to develop and succeed academically, socially, and civically by incorporating 5 Key Elements into each and every day.

Safe, Positive Environment

The Club is a safe place where members feel physically and emotionally secure.

Fun

The Club facility, staff, and programming create a welcoming, positive environment allowing members to engage in play, enjoy learning and exploring.

Supportive Relationships

The Club ensures that every young person feels personally connected to one or more adults and has friendships with peers by providing Social-Emotional Learning opportunities and positive mentoring experiences.

Meaningful Opportunities and Expectations

Club staff and programs consistently communicate the expectation that every child has the potential to excel, be productive, and succeed at the Club and in life.

School-Aged Fee Schedule

Boys & Girls Club of Detroit Lakes accepts Child Care Assistance (CCAP). You must provide the Club with documentation of your eligibility. You are responsible for any copays or costs not covered by CCAP. If you are denied CCAP, there may be additional limited scholarships available to cover some, not all, of the programming fees.

Transportation

The Club may transport children for Club-sponsored activities using Club vehicles, contracted transportation providers, or by walking. The Club and any contracted transportation providers will comply with all applicable Minnesota child passenger safety and transportation laws.
